(In the Church with the Washing of Feet)
***Note: That with the beginning of this service, the Season of Lent comes to an end & at the end of the service

we will enter into the Paschal Triduum.

FRIDAY, MARCH 29, 2024
THE CELEBRATION OF GOOD FRIDAY
THE PASSION & DEATH OF THE LORD
NOON

(Deacon Marionette Bennett will be the Officiant & Preacher of this Celebration)

Holy Communion will be distributed from the Reserved Sacrament
The Parish Fish Fry will begin at the conclusion of this Celebration until 3:00 p.m.

 

SATURDAY, MARCH 30, 2024
THE CELEBRATION OF THE GREAT VIGIL OF EASTER

5:00 P.M.
This celebration is the “Mother” of all liturgies in the Church!  We will begin at the top of the doorsteps of the Parish Hall and bless the new fire, prepare the new Paschal Candle for 2024, hear the stories of Salvation History, hear the first proclamation of Easter for 2024, renew our Baptismal Covenant, celebrate the first Festival Eucharist of Easter & conclude with the Solemn Blessing of Easter.

SUNDAY, MARCH 31, 2024
THE REVIVAL OF THE PARISH SUNDAY SCHOOL

9:00 A.M.

We will welcome back all of our young children and their families with coffee, juice & donuts.  While meeting in the Parish Hall, we will present to them the Parish Plan of Catechesis (Instruction of the Christian Faith) and seek input from the Families on what they would like to see happen with this new & exciting initiative!

 

THE GREAT FESTIVAL EUCHARIST & CELEBRATION OF EASTER SUNDAY
10:30 A.M.

This celebration will include the prayers and hymns of Easter as well as the Solemn Proclamation of the Gospel of Easter Sunday.  We will renew our Baptismal Covenant, celebrate the Eucharist of Easter Day & conclude with the Solemn Blessing of Easter Sunday.
